The village of Kabardinka is located between Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik on the shore of the Tsemesskaya Bay. Although the resort is not large in size, it can offer tourists almost all the items of the mandatory vacation program. This is a clean sea, beaches, treatment in sanatoriums, walks along the well-maintained embankment, visiting the dolphinarium and the oceanarium, interesting excursions and even diving.
Most of the beaches of Kabardinka are covered with small pebbles and have a smooth entry into the sea, which is very convenient for children. Within the village, the swimming areas are landscaped and equipped with infrastructure facilities. Tourists looking for solitude are better off going to wild beaches located outside the village closer to Novorossiysk.
What to see and where to go in Kabardinka?
The most interesting and beautiful places for walking. Photos and a short description.
The park was created on its own by a local resident of Kabardinka A. Alekseev. The city authorities, seeing his enthusiasm, gave him an additional plot of land for planting. Although the size of the park is small, there is something to see inside - a Greek temple, an Egyptian pyramid, a medieval castle, sculptures, fountains and manicured lawns with tropical vegetation - all this was created thanks to the idea of one person.
The embankment stretches along the main beach of the resort village. The promenade is paved with tiles, decorated with balustrades, bright flower beds, sculptural groups and light illumination. In summer, a lot of people walk here, as this place is the center of life of a small resort. Along the promenade there are restaurants, cafes and small kiosks with souvenirs.
The Kastalskaya font is called the lake and the landscaped area adjacent to it, which are located at the exit from Kabardinka. Sturgeon and trout are found in the reservoir, on the banks among flower beds and trees there are cozy gazebos where you can sit in a company. The area is arranged in the best traditions of landscape design - sculptures, fountains, grottoes, bridges and stairs are everywhere.
The Dolphinarium is located on the territory of the central beach. Compared to other similar establishments in other resorts, it is quite small, but the performances here are no less spectacular than in large complexes. Experienced trainers help the Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, the main characters of the scene, who try to surprise and please the audience. After the show, you can take pictures with them.
Oceanarium and exotarium
Collections of marine life and exotic animals located in the same complex (a single entrance ticket is valid for its visit). In the oceanarium, inhabitants of freshwater rivers of Russia, tropical seas and reservoirs of temperate climate, coral reefs and coasts are represented, in the exotarium there are more than 40 species of amphibians and mammals collected from different places on the planet.
A private workshop-museum where visitors can view collections of colored glass products made using various techniques, as well as participate in a master class and create their own masterpiece. The tour is conducted by a guide who will tell you about the history of the craft, secret techniques and unique exhibits. Since 2022, it has existed in a new format, located between Kabardinka and Novorossiysk in the Wild Place area.
City of Kuban masters
One of the most interesting museums of Kabardinka, located in the open air in the park. The collection is dedicated to the history, crafts and life of the Cossacks. Here you can see the houses of the inhabitants of the Kuban - huts with reed roofs and farmsteads, where stables and outbuildings are located, as well as traditional tools, household items, weapons, military uniforms, clothes, furniture.
Bringing Down the House
The house, located on the contrary, is the roof below, and the floor with furniture nailed to it is above. Such sightseeing objects are of interest to tourists, it is not for nothing that they are in many cities of the world and Russia. Against the backdrop of an inverted interior, you can take original photographs, which is what visitors do. The only correctly located element is the entrance staircase leading to the second floor.
Monument to those who died on the ship "Admiral Nakhimov"
The passenger ship "Admiral Nakhimov" was wrecked in the Tsemess Bay in 1986 as a result of a collision with the "Pyotr Vasev". More than 400 people died in the process. A year later, a monument was erected in memory of the tragedy at Cape Doob. The memorial is a composition of metal pipes of different heights, set in the center of a concrete circle. On the monument there is a ship's clock, raised from the bottom of the sea, which shows the time of the disaster - 23:20.
Captain Zubkov's Battery
A genuine monument of the period of the Great Patriotic War, which is a group of artillery pieces and reinforced concrete fortifications placed in the open. Thanks to this battery and its arrows, the German troops were never able to advance into the Tsemess Bay and enter Gelendzhik. The fortification was erected in 1941 and, as history shows, brilliantly coped with its task.
