Denmark is flat, compact and heavily oriented toward Copenhagen, where most visitors spend their time. The city is walkable and cycle-first, with harbour baths, design museums and Tivoli in the center; the rest of the country runs to coastline, small towns and the castles of North Zealand within an hour by train.
The guides collected here cover Copenhagen and Denmark overall. Summer is short, bright and busy; winter is dark but the city compensates indoors. Copenhagen is one of the more expensive capitals in Europe, and Malmö in Sweden is close enough by train to serve as a cheaper base or a day trip, depending on how the trip is arranged.
