Jamaica is mountainous in the interior and resort-lined along the north coast, where Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril concentrate most visitors. The Blue Mountains behind Kingston produce the coffee the island is known for, and the capital holds its musical history.
The guides here cover Jamaica as a whole. The dry season runs December to April; hurricane season peaks between August and October. Many trips run on all-inclusive resorts on the north coast, which is a different experience from Kingston and the interior. Driving is on the left, and mountain roads are narrow and slow compared with the coastal highway.
